Ohio

Look, I'm posting (thanks Michelle for reminding me that it has been forever). I spent a little over a week in Ohio visiting family--I especially enjoyed finally getting to see my uncle's horse ranch--let me show you around.

They currently have 20 horses for trail-riding. This is the view from the mounting area.

This was my view most of the time as we hung out in the shade and placed bets on who would poop first. (Poop betting was a first for me and I lost every time). See Naomi there? That's who my mom rode--Naomi was a wild mustang--my mom is afraid of horses and quite thrilled with the fact that she can say she rode a wild mustang (if you ask her about it she will leave off the part about Naomi being the sweetest horse they have who would turn around and ask you if you were ok if you coughed). Kiowa was very friendly and came to visit me when I walked up the last day. I think he got used to me because this is his stall at the end and I gave him a little pat every time I came around the corner through the barn.

My favorite horse was Gypsy--I think big black horses are gorgeous. She made mom nervous.

Shawn and Glacier were showing off.

HOORAY! You're back!

Remind me someday to tell about the time I was looking at horses with Kindred (and pregnant). They were surrounded by an electric fence....
