My Classroom
Did you want a little tour of my classroom? Well then come on in! When you walk in the door you'll see my desk corner--it's a bit messy. You are also looking at the only working printer on the floor (I think). The BIG printer is broken, very broken, first time in 8 years I can't get it working. It is giving error messages I've never seen. That's ok, I don't mind sharing.Next up we have the "living room." This is the silent reading area for Read 180 (if they behave--otherwise it is reading at a desk. For example if you pant and try to lick the girls in your reading group you go to a desk, or if you scream "I hate you, you're gay" you go to a desk. Or if you annoy Miss Eib in any other way, desk.)
While they are reading, there are 3 other groups working. One group is at this table with Ms. Delso my student teacher. She is great, she really doesn't need to student teach, I think she could have her own class now. Also, notice the fans--I think we have one of the coolest rooms on the floor.
Next is the other big table for group 3 with Ms. Miller. I had to cover it with contact paper because they kept trying to "tag it up." Also, you can see my new little file cabinet--it locks! (And keeps mice out!) The poster on the door underneath the pennant says, "It's your temper, please keep it!"Finally we come around to the last wall. Here are the five Macs running the Read 180 program. I stole one more study carrel so everybody has their own space to work without being crowded.
There you go, my classroom, thanks for visiting.
