Marrying cookies scoops

So, you know you've been baking too long when...
you get a new cookies scoop out of the cupboard (where it has been waiting for a cooler day since it arrived in the summer) and begin scooping triple chocolate cookie dough onto a parchment paper lined sheet (because America's Test Kitchen says so, and you do everything they tell you)--and you never knew how wonderful a cookie scoop was, with its little spring loaded release and perfectly sized scoop--and you say--"I'm going to marry this cookie scoop" then your friends look at you funny and point out that the cookie scoop will not have children with you, or even sex for that matter. You consider this point, but at this moment neither of those things will get 5 dozen very fudgy cookies on the sheet, so you decide to stick with your scoop (at least for the next 15 minutes). But now the scoop is put away, and there are lots of cooling cookies, and you might need to take back your proposal to the scoop (but after 2 batches of brownies the spatula is looking pretty good).
Oh my, what 2 days off in the middle of the week will do to a person.
